Disney’s Hollywood Studios®, Orlando FL
Spend a day exploring Disney’s Hollywood Studios® in an entirely new way, seeing the park through the transformative lens of puzzles!
Puzzlehop: Hollywood Studios is an all-day event for teams of 2-4 players, running from rope drop in the morning until well into the evening. You and your teammates will explore the park from top to bottom: riding the rides, taking in the shows, soaking up the environments and pushing your minds to their limits. You’ll make new discoveries throughout the day and appreciate the park’s details on a whole new level. For puzzlers, this may be the most fun you’ll ever have at a theme park.
Nobody does theme parks like Disney. Our goal with Puzzlehop is for you to have a fantastic day at Hollywood Studios infused with the magic of puzzles. Everywhere you go in the park– from a galaxy far, far away to a backyard where toys come alive– you’ll see through an entirely new lens. You’ve never done Disney World like this before. Even waiting in lines is transformed when you have fun puzzles to keep you busy. And all of this on top of the amazing time you’re having because… you’re at Hollywood Studios!
Puzzlehop: Hollywood Studios is a family-friendly event for anyone from serious puzzlers to their more casual friends, spouses, or kids age 12 and up (younger kids can tag along, too). The cost is $250 per team (plus tax), regardless of team size (this does not include your park admission, which you must purchase separately).

FAQ
What’s Puzzlehop?
Puzzlehop is a puzzle scramble. You get all the puzzles at the start of the day, and from there you’re in control. You decide what to tackle and when. Solve in a frenzied rush or a relaxed stroll. Work methodically around the park or jump to whatever attraction has the shortest line. Hit your favorite rides first or jump on your favorite puzzle types. You don’t need to solve everything, and the sun will probably set before you run out of things to do, so come prepared for a jam-packed day!
Where and when is it?
Puzzlehop: Hollywood Studios is Friday, February 6, 2026, from 9AM to 7 PM. It takes place entirely within Disney’s Hollywood Studios– you will not need to enter any hotels or other parks.
How long is it?
This is an all-day event, with 10 hours of active puzzling. Teams can check in starting at 8 AM, with the event beginning when the park opens at 9 and ending at 7 PM, leaving teams time to eat in the park before catching an end-of-day show like Fantasmic.
How much is it?
The entry fee is $250 (plus tax) per team of up to 4 (and we recommend a full team of 4). This includes all game materials and is the same no matter how many people are on your team. Park admission, travel costs, hotel, parking, and food are not included.
Do I need to be a Disney expert to do well?
No! We do expect a baseline familiarity with classic and popular Disney characters and properties, but the level of knowledge required is not deep. If you find yourself needing more Disney mojo, you are welcome (and encouraged) to get help from other park attendees and cast members around you. In fact, we suspect those interactions will be some of the highlights of your day. Hints are also freely available throughout the day. There’s plenty of puzzling to be had even if you can’t tell Anna from Elsa!
What do we get if we win?
There is no winning or losing per se, and there are no prizes. The focus is on having an amazing day at the park, not on competition, though if you enjoy competing with a rival team, great! You’ll earn ranks for achieving certain score thresholds, and scores will be made available online after the event, so bragging rights are up for grabs but nothing else.
What should I bring?
Pencils! Also: at least one smartphone, and whatever you’d normally bring for a full, active day in the Florida outdoors. This may include: comfortable walking shoes, backpacks, water bottles, snacks, protective headwear, sunglasses, and sunscreen, among other things. Weather in February is typically cooler, so light jackets or long pants might be called for– we recommend you check the weather forecast before packing! You will not need laptops, reference books, or other heavy gear.
When we go for a day at a park, we bring insulated water bottles filled with ice, which we can refill with water at many places throughout the park. You are allowed to bring outside food and drinks into the park, if you want to avoid waiting for food at restaurants. Protip: you can also get free cups of ice water anywhere beverages are served.
Can I bring my kids?
Absolutely! The event is family-friendly, so players under 18 can play on a team with their parent or guardian, and some puzzles may appeal to puzzle-minded kids, if they’re willing and able to play (and walk) all day. Kids 10 and under do not count toward your team size limit. When deciding whether or not to bring your kids, keep in mind that Puzzlehop will be engaging your body and mind for a full day.
What are the puzzles like?
The puzzles you’ll encounter during Puzzlehop: Hollywood Studios are paper-and-pencil variety puzzles custom-made for the event. Each is intended to take 5-20 minutes to solve, but there are a lot of them! You’ll probably recognize some familiar puzzle types, and some will be entirely new to you. To get a sense of the kinds of puzzles you’ll see, we recommend browsing the back-catalogue of free puzzles from Puzzled Pint’s archive. Puzzlehop’s puzzles are of a similar style and on the easier end of difficulty.
Can I use the internet or phone a friend for help?
There is a built-in hint system to offer help when you need it. Beyond that, we intend for teams to tackle this experience on their own. Rather than the internet, we think it’s much more fun to get help from other park-goers around you (be prepared to answer the “what are you guys doing?” question—you’ll get that a lot). But each team is the guardian of their own fun. We understand that it’s not fun to be stuck on something for too long, and if a quick internet search will let you get back to the fun, we’re happy to let your team make that decision for itself. However, we draw the line at internet usage that breaks the spirit of the event, like viewing attraction ride-along videos, using puzzle-solving apps, or asking ChatGPT to solve for you. Please don’t do that, and don’t trade information or solutions with other teams. The journey is the reward, so don’t cheat yourselves!
What about cameras?
You’re welcome to take photos or video of your own experiences in attractions if you think it will help you solve puzzles, subject to the rules of the park (no flash photography, keep arms inside the vehicle at all times, etc).
Are you affiliated with Disney?
No, Puzzlehop is not affiliated with Disney in any way. You will be normal guests at the park, subject to all the usual rules and regulations with no special privileges. You will not need to go anywhere guests shouldn’t go, or do anything guests shouldn’t do.
Should we get Lightning Lanes?
That’s up to you, but we don’t think you’ll need them. We designed Puzzlehop to include plenty of puzzles to solve while you’re waiting, so you’ll likely find that time spent in queues is much more entertaining than normal. We think you’ll have time to do everything you’ll want to do, but crowd size since COVID has been difficult to predict. If you want to purchase Lightning Lanes to ensure you can Do All The Things, go right ahead.
What attractions will be available?
The old Muppets area is now closed and being renovated into a Monsters, Inc. land. That construction will still be ongoing while we’re there, and that area will not be accessible. Additionally, it looks like Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster will be closed so that it can be rethemed from Aerosmith to The Muppets, although dates for that closure have not been announced.
Attractions also close unpredictably for maintenance, and there’s no way to know in advance. We can’t guarantee your favorite attraction will be available.
Where’s the best place to get Disney World admission tickets?
Our friends at MouseSavers say the best ticket prices are from Undercover Tourist, so we recommend you look there.
Any advice on hotels near the park?
Our friends at MouseSavers (seriously, we’ve known them for over 30 years) are the best source of information for all things DIsney World, from travel to hotels to tickets to other tips and tricks. Tell them we sent you!
